Anqa Systems Call: (860) 261-0023

Anqa Systems brings enterprise operations work to businesses that have outgrown how they started.

Large companies pay consulting firms to look at how their business actually runs and tell them what to fix. We do that work for owner-operated companies, and then build what the findings call for: AI phone agents that answer when you cannot, automation that removes duplicated work, and custom applications shaped around how your business actually operates.

Connecticut and New England  ·  Built in an account you own  ·  On-site setup included

The problem

Most small businesses do not have a technology problem. They have a capacity problem.

Calls get returned, invoices go out and jobs get scheduled because someone is holding all of it in their head. That is not a flaw. It is how nearly every good small business starts, and it carries them a long way.

It gets heavier as you grow. More calls, more jobs, more that works only because a particular person remembered. Most owners know the point where the work has outgrown the system holding it, and most reach it while they are far too busy to do much about it.

Getting past it takes systems: processes written down, and tools that carry the parts that should not depend on memory.

That is the work we do.

What we do

Five areas of work.

We keep the list short on purpose. If something falls outside it, we will tell you, and where we can we will point you to someone who handles it.

Operations, process and go-to-market

Documenting how work moves through your business, defining what happens when something goes wrong, and deciding what should be automated and what should not. On the revenue side, the same look at how customers actually reach you: how leads arrive, how they get triaged, and where they go cold. Sales development and business development are different jobs, and most small companies are running them as one. This work often determines whether the others are worth doing at all.

Workflow automation

Removing the manual steps between the systems you already use. When the same information is entered in three places, or a completed job triggers four follow-up tasks that depend on someone remembering them, automation closes the gap.

Websites and internal tools

Websites, domains and business email set up in accounts you own, and the purpose-built software behind them: internal tools, job tracking, customer portals and intake. Shaped around how your business runs rather than software your business has to adapt to. See how this works.

IT and technical staffing

Engineers, analysts, project managers and security staff placed on contract, on contract to hire, or direct. We can also carry a worker you have already found on someone else's payroll instead of your own. See how staffing works.

AI voice and phone systems

Agents that answer inbound calls, book appointments, escalate genuine emergencies and report back after every call. Every agent states in its first sentence that it is an automated assistant and discloses that the call is recorded. From simple to complex, every solution is custom. See how Anqa Desk works.

Where we start

Start with a free assessment.

Before anyone talks about software, we come to your business and look at how the work actually moves, with the people who do it.

How calls come in, and what happens to the ones nobody answers. Which tools you pay for, and which of them actually talk to each other. Where the same information gets typed twice. How a lead becomes a scheduled job, and where that path breaks down. What happens on the day the person holding it all is out sick.

You get a written report: what we found, what we would fix first and why, what fixing it would cost, and what we believe it is costing you now. It is written in plain language and it is yours whether or not you hire us. If the right answer is to change a process and buy nothing, that is what the report will say.

The assessment is free because it is how we decide whether we are the right people for the job. You are under no obligation, and neither are we.

We ask for a short phone conversation first, so that neither of us spends a morning on something that could have been settled in ten minutes.

Ownership

You own what we build.

Every account we open is opened in your business name, on your payment method. What we build for you is yours: the code, the workflows, the integrations, the data structures, the CRM, the website, the configuration we write, the phone number, the call history and the transcripts.

If our engagement ends, none of that changes. We remove our access, the system keeps running, and you carry on with it: managing it yourself, or handing it to someone else. We will show you how it works long before you need to know.

It is worth checking this with anyone you consider, ourselves included. In much of this market the provider holds the account and the number, and cancelling ends the service with nothing to hand back.

The question worth asking any provider, us included: if I stop, what do I keep?

Anqa Desk

Anqa Desk answers your phone.

Anqa Desk is an AI receptionist configured for your business and connected to the phone number you already use. It answers with your company name, states clearly that it is an automated assistant, captures a proper intake, books appointments into your calendar, transfers genuine emergencies to a live number, and emails you a summary after every call.

The account is opened in your name and the platform bills you directly, so what you pay us is for the build and the management, not for minutes.

It is one of the five areas above. If the phone is the whole problem, it is the fastest thing we can fix for you. If something else is the real problem, the assessment will tell you that before you have spent anything.

A working demonstration line is live: Federal Hill HVAC, a heating company we invented so you can hear the real thing. Call it and put it through its paces.

On site

We work on site.

Anqa Systems is based in Connecticut and works across New England. Engagements begin with a visit to your business, because how work actually moves through a company is difficult to learn from a questionnaire.

We would rather spend a morning watching the job get done than an afternoon guessing at it from a phone call. It makes the system we build fit the business you actually run, rather than the one a form described.

Process

How an engagement runs.

  1. A conversation.

Thirty minutes, at no cost. If the work is not worth doing, we will say so on that call.

  2. The free assessment.

We come to your business and watch how the work actually runs, with the people who do it, and write up what we found. The report is yours whether or not you engage us.

  3. A written plan with a fixed price.

What we would build, what it costs, how long it takes, and what it will cost each month to operate. The plan is yours whether or not you engage us.

  4. Build and testing.

We build the system and test it against real failure cases before anything depends on it.

  5. Handover.

Accounts in your name, written documentation, and a walkthrough of how it works.

  6. Keeping it accurate.

Prices, hours and services change, and a system nobody maintains starts giving wrong answers within a couple of months. Keeping it current is most of the ongoing work, and it is optional.

Our commitments

What you can hold us to.

  • We look at the process before we propose software. When the real problem is how work moves rather than which tool you use, you will hear that from us. It is usually cheaper to fix and it lasts longer.
  • Everything is built in accounts you own, so you are never choosing between a system that works and a provider you have outgrown.
  • We take on work we can deliver well. When a project needs a bigger team than ours, you will know that before you have committed anything.
  • We recommend the simplest thing that does the job. Often that is older and less interesting than AI, and it is still the right answer.
  • We price after seeing the work. An estimate built from a phone call is a guess, and we would rather give you a number we can stand behind.

Fit

Who we work with.

Owner-operated businesses and professional practices in Connecticut and across New England, where the people who would handle this work are the people doing the billable work. Law firms, dental and specialty practices, property management firms, the trades and the service companies around them, small distributors, and family businesses that have outgrown the way they started.

We are probably not the right fit if you have IT staff who would handle this work, if you are looking for an agency with account managers and a formal pitch process, or if the lowest available price is the deciding factor. Good self-serve options exist at that end of the market, and we are happy to point you toward them.

Pricing

How we price.

  • The assessment is free. We sit down with you, work out what is actually happening, and give you a written report with recommendations. It is yours whether or not you hire us.
  • Build work is quoted as a single fixed price before anything starts. We do not bill hourly. If our estimate is wrong, that is our problem, not a change order.
  • Software and platform accounts are opened in your name and billed to you directly by the provider, at their published rates. We do not resell them and we do not mark them up.
  • Ongoing management is a monthly service agreement, and it is optional. It covers our work, not your platform bill.
  • We ask for a short phone conversation before the visit, so we are not driving to your office to tell you something we could have told you in ten minutes.

Anqa Desk carries published pricing because it is substantially the same build every time. Other work is quoted after the assessment, because it is not.

Who we are

Sean Bjers

Anqa Systems

Thirty-three years of business technology across Business Operations and Go To Market.

The people who assess your business are the people who build the system, and the people who answer when something goes wrong.

That experience runs from business phone systems and voicemail, through years spent running operations inside companies, to seven years at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure across progressive Principal-level roles, most recently as Chief of Staff for Global Sales Activation and Enablement. That work is largely a matter of deciding in advance what happens when part of a system fails at two in the morning, and writing it down before it does.
